This is the first book I've read of Miss Remiel's and I have to say she did not disappoint.

Camille Dutton is a fascinating protagonist who finds herself on an island community where she' is expected to simply work at the local library. "i'm a book waitress" she keeps telling people. Nothing more, nothing less. She doesn't consider herself amazing or unusual. But she soon finds herself the target in a Satanic plot, that is linked to incident from her childhood that she'd all but forgotten.

Before long she realizes there are few if any people she can trust as the cult and the dark one himself begin to close in on her.

Excitement and surprises await the reader in this first installment of the Book Waitress Series. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the second installment.

Deena sure knows how to write a book this will get you hook from page one. This is a page turner and it will keep you in place to keep reading. I stayed up to finish it in a few hours. The characters Camille and Derek are so well written it is like you are in the sidelines watching how the love between them grows. From some parts will have you laughing some parts will have you in wonder, or in shock. But over all it is a great story and a good page turner, it is well written and an awesome story. I look forward to more of this series. Camille is no regular waitress... you just have to read this story. A must Read.

While I think the character concept is quite clever, it was nice to find a librarian instead of a cop/ninja/rebel type female lead; I found that the characters seemed like teenagers living in senior citizen minds. They acted like young teens with a first crush, yet their vocabulary and actions were that of older people - people old enough to already have their senior discount cards. It was very disconcerting. Additionally, the pace of the relationship was similar to older harlequin romance novels. Very cheesy. The author needs to decide what age her characters are - and have them act and speak appropriately and if she plans on having a series, give them some depth and back story.
OMGosh what a good ~vs~ evil thrill ride we have here.... The world building is consisitant and perfectly paced, the mystery is suspenseful and intriguing, keeping me wondering where this wonderful author was going to take me next. Well written and easy to follow, this fact-paced read is sure to please.

The characters are amazing, well developed, and believable.... Meet Camille Dutton, who is not a people person type of a librarian who is transferred to a new library, where she meets Derek Galloway, an investigative reporter, clumsy around women and on a quest of his own, things start to really take off embarking on a mysterious journey of the paranormal that makes this a phenomenal story line.

I would recommend this book to paranormal readers out there who like stories with a thrill ride inside... Cannot wait for Book 2

Woot woot, another great series by the phenomenal author Deena Remiel!!!! I am a HUGE fan of Deena's writings, and as of yet I haven't been disappointed by anything that she has written. I have loved all her books.
As I eagerly awaited the release of The Book Waitress I had refused to read any snippets, excerpts or teasers, I wanted to enjoy the experience as a whole once it was released. And man was I completely elated with the start of this new series! *flyz around excited*
I love my boys, The Brethren, but I also know that this series is one that will and has me hanging on to yet another spectacularly written storyline by Deena. It's addicting as with all her books.
The Book Waitress will keep you reading well into the wee hours as you follow Camille and Derek in their investigations or quests. What you will they find isn't what you'd think at all ... or maybe it is!
The Book Waitress has some amazing characters that you'll instantly fall in love with, Camille and Derek are both incredible as main characters. Author Deena Remiel you have a perfect match making gift with your characters that has me cheering every time as I see them meld together as the story grows.
Team Camille/Derek are a dynamic duo, although at first they seem like an unlikely pair. Derek is so full of humor and such a strong character, while our shy Camille is a loner, at ease with her books (and ghost). Yet as the age old saying says "That opposite attract" and in this case they sure do.

My oh my, there is so much that unfolds in this story as the storyline is laid into place for us, that also leads up to some shocking events that are discovered. Yet, leaving enough room with plenty of mystery, and suspense for book two, "Devil Du Jour" to take off running as you dive straight into it. WOW
If you haven't had the opportunity to start this great series, then I suggest that you take the time and find out what all the hype is all about. You won't be disappointed one bit, I promise!!
